October 19, 2001, Friday. Slayer’s team.

We awoke at 07:00. Leaving the hotel at 08:15 we took a car to the garage. Upon arriving I checked a form to see if a loader was ordered. Dima was already waiting us. Kostia (mechanic) arrived at 08:50 and opens the garage at 09:05 . I see no loader. I phoned, and at 09:15 a loader arrives.

We put the motorcycle on it. Xavier, Dima (he again agreed to help us) and I sit in the loader and drive. Having no problems we safely arrive at the Slayer workshop. We park the loader in an underground parking space.

Meeting several Slayer workers they suggest we purchase some oil and a relay for the starter. So the three of us go searching for a shop, which sells the supplies that they suggested. We did not buy anything because the oil was expensive, and we did not find the specific relay we needed for the Ural.

Returning to the workshop a man named Vova (full name Vladimir Diakonchuk) who was working on the Ural told me that the service done by the Desperado club damaged the piston. Vova cut a part of the piston so it would work temporarily, but he told us to replace it as soon as possible. The problem with compression he fixed by adjusting the valves. All worked perfectly! Sadly, we had wasted three days with the Desperado club.

We decided to park the motorcycle near this underground garage, and taking a taxi we went to the Sho office, collected our things, and said goodbye to Denis and Margo. Again, we took the taxi back to the hotel for another night. We went to bed immediately. It was at this time when I discovered my cell phone did not work.
